Bloodhound LSR is a UK-based project aiming to break the world land speed record using the most advanced straight-line racing car ever built. Graphite AM is proud to be a significant part in this amazing project by building an array of parts large and small.

“You have done an amazing job for us. All your parts are performing perfectly and we wouldn’t be testing now if it wasn’t for you. Thank you from all the team”.  George Morris, Lead Engineer- Composites

The Bloodhound team is currently in South Africa running the car’s seventh test run ahead of the land speed record attempt in 2020. The current record sits at 763.035mph and the top speed reached by the team so far is 501mph.

The driver, current world land speed record holder Andy Green, is driving the Bloodhound faster on each run to gather data in order to prepare the car for its record attempt next year.

Graphite AM have supplied the project with ultra-light-weight parts that are strong and durable.  Some of the most complex parts have been manufactured by Graphite using selective laser sintering, which can produce tough, high-temperature resistant components in almost any shape.

We will continue to watch the team’s progress and can’t wait for the record attempt next year.
