Here at Graphite Additive Manufacturing, we have worked closely with Vertical Aerospace to bring their VA-1X Flagship Aircraft to life.
Providing an unparalleled passenger experience, the VA-1X is designed to push the boundaries of travel, and is an all electric aircraft, able to carry up to five people (four passengers and a pilot), for up to 100 miles at a time. With cruise speeds of 150mph, it has the ability to convey passengers from London to Brighton in approximately 30 minutes, revolutionising the transport industry.
Not only is the VA-1X an aerodynamically efficient form of transport, but its design sets it apart from the pollutive forms of transport that we are so used to today. The VA-1X achieves zero fumes or contaminants from combustion products, as well as emission free flying. Where possible, it is powered by renewable energy. This cleverly designed aircraft also achieves 30 times less noise pollution than comparable helicopter models.
The next steps for Vertical Aerospace are to begin building the aircraft, with all manufacturing to take place in the UK. The VA-1X is on track to start commercial flights in 2024.
